Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the Medical Mentors Pathway Program.

Q. Is the two day orientation mandatory?

A. Yes!!!!  The Mandatory orientation is June 25 & June 26, 2025 and last all day. There are many activities that need to be complete in order for applicants to be permitted on hospital floors, so we need two days to ensure everyone is ready. This is NOT NEGOTIABLE!!!

Q. Do participants in the program need to have any vaccines to participate in the program?

A. Yes. All students must submit a TB skin test within 1 year of starting of the program.

Q. Are there assignments during the 6 week program?

A. Yes. All students must complete all assignments before the end of the program.

Q. What are the program dates for the 2025 program?

A. Mandatory Orientation is June 25 & June 26, 2025 and the program officially starts June 30 - August 7, 2025. 

Q. Are there different time slots available for shadowing during the day?

A. No, this is full day program, Monday - Thursday. Students are expected to participate Monday - Thursday from 8am - 4pm.

Q. If I need to be away from the program for a few days is this allowed?

A. This needs to be cleared with the program director but typically 2 days/student  are allowed away from the program during the 6 weeks.  Students should not plan to miss more than 3 days.
